Ashika Investment Managers Pvt. Ltd., the Alternative Asset Managers, has received node from SEBI for launch of the SmartAlpha Fund, an open-ended Category III Data Strategy Investment Fund designed to offer a structured, data-driven approach to investing which is now open for subscription

SmartAlpha is built on a proprietary, Six Bucket Approach that systematically harvests behavioral anomalies that have been academically and empirically validated across global markets, with the aim of identifying investment opportunities in a consistent and methodical manner. By integrating these elements into a single cohesive investment process, the fund applies a systematic approach designed to function across market environments.

The investment process focuses on capturing changes in earnings expectations, combining traditional fundamental valuation measures with three bucket momentum, and observing the activity of strategic investors for better feel of the markets. It also incorporates behavioral insights such as trend-following, the identification of fundamentally strong companies at a micro level, and opportunities that may arise from behavioral overreaction.

By integrating these elements into a single cohesive investment process, the fund applies a systematic approach designed to function across market environments.

Mr. Ajay Arora, Co-CEO, Ashika Investment Managers said,  The SEBI approval of SmartAlpha Fund marks an important milestone in our Alternative Asset Management platform. As the Indian alternatives ecosystem continues to mature, we see increasing relevance for systematic and data driven strategies that complement traditional approaches.

Mr. Himadri Roy, Head of Quantitative Fund Management and Fund Manager said, By bringing together dynamic multiple validated factors within a structured framework, the strategy is designed to offer a consistent and disciplined way of engaging with market behavior.
