API Holdings, India's largest digital healthcare platform, successfully concluded the 2026 edition of its Annual Sports Extravaganza, JOSH – The Spirit of Champions, a company-wide initiative designed to strengthen employee engagement, promote physical and mental well-being, and foster cross-functional collaboration at scale. Held on 16th and 17th January 2026, the two-day event brought together employees from across locations and functions, reinforcing the organisation’s long-term people strategy focused on building a connected, resilient, and high-performance workforce.
This year’s edition saw over 1,000 employees participate in structured trials conducted across multiple sub-locations, including Delhi, Bengaluru, and other key offices, with around 350 finalists competing in the grand finale, highlighting the growing role of experiential engagement programs in driving morale, inclusion, and a strong sense of belonging within the organisation.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Rahul Guha, Managing Director & CEO, API Holdings, said, “At API Holdings, we view employee engagement as a strategic priority, not a one-time initiative. JOSH is designed to create meaningful connections across teams, nurture a culture of collaboration, and encourage our people to prioritise their physical and mental well-being. As we scale as an organisation, such platforms play a critical role in building trust, inclusivity, and long-term performance.”
The tournament featured five spirited teams, Mavericks, Invincibles, Yoddhas, Knight Riders, and Spartans — battling it out for the coveted JOSH Trophy, embodying determination, sportsmanship, and collective excellence throughout the event.
The sports extravaganza was inaugurated with the ceremonial trophy unveiling by Mr Rahul Guha, Managing Director & CEO, API Holdings, marking the official commencement of the tournament and setting the tone for two days filled with competitive energy and team bonding.
JOSH 2026 showcased a diverse sporting lineup, ensuring inclusive participation across interests and abilities. Indoor events including Chess, Carrom, Table Tennis, and Foosball were hosted at the Turbhe and ASMC offices, while outdoor matches such as Cricket, Football, Badminton, Tug of War (Men & Women), and Relay Race took place at the Ramsheth Thakur International Sports Complex, Ulwe, offering employees a world-class sporting environment.
Adding to the enthusiasm, members of the company’s leadership team actively supported and encouraged participants, reinforcing the organisation’s values of fair play, collaboration, and resilience, and highlighting the importance of nurturing strong interpersonal connections beyond everyday work roles.
More than a competition, JOSH 2026 emerged as a powerful platform for strengthening organisational bonds, encouraging healthy lifestyles, and celebrating the diverse talents of API Holdings’ workforce. The event once again reaffirmed the company’s commitment to building an inclusive, high-performance workplace where employee well-being and engagement remain central to its growth journey.
With its vibrant atmosphere, enthusiastic participation, and strong leadership involvement, JOSH 2026 truly lived up to its theme — The Spirit of Champions.
