The Circle FC, a leader in cross-border startup acceleration, led a high-impact delegation of eight Indian deep-tech startups to the Smart City Summit & Expo (SCSE) 2025 in Taipei. Focused on AI, sustainability, deep-tech, and mobility, this initiative created valuable market access opportunities and fostered strategic collaborations in Taiwan and the broader APAC region.
As the official accelerator partner of SCSE 2025, The Circle FC played a pivotal role in connecting Indian founders with global investors, government leaders, and corporate giants. This year’s summit brought delegates from 59 countries, with Taiwan unveiling its visionary “Smart Nation 2.0” initiative focused on digital transformation, net-zero goals, and advanced urban innovation.
Nemesisa Ujjain, VP & Head—The Circle FC, stated “This collaboration represents a significant step toward connecting India’s deep-tech innovation with Taiwan’s thriving startup and technology landscape. The enthusiasm, ideas, and meaningful interactions during SCSE 2025 have reinforced our commitment to enabling startups to expand globally."
The Circle FC’s delegation included Belsterns Technologies, Jalchakra Innovations, Vaidic Srijan, Proteger AI, HarithAvani Renewable Systems, Flux Motors, DoLabs, and Bversity. Over five days, these startups engaged with government officials, leading accelerators, deep-tech hubs, investors, and industry leaders, fostering collaborations between India’s dynamic startup ecosystem and Taiwan’s cutting-edge R&D and manufacturing capabilities.
A key highlight of the delegation was the Smart Open Mic Pitch Session, where Indian startups presented their solutions under the themes of Green Technology and Edge of Innovation. Their innovations in AI-driven automation, sustainability technologies, and next-gen EV motorsports helped open doors to strategic partnerships and investment opportunities.
Beyond the expo, The Circle FC strengthened India-Taiwan startup relations by signing an MoU with the Department of Youth Affairs, Taoyuan City. This agreement enables Indian startups to access the Taoyuan Skyline Accelerator, which offers funding support of up to NT$500,000 and facilitates corporate and government collaborations.
The Circle FC continues to fuel India’s global startup expansion. By fostering partnerships, driving innovation, and unlocking new markets, this delegation provided a start to building stronger India-Taiwan collaborations, technology exchange, and investment opportunities in the years to come.
