“Find Your Superposition in Finland” is Finland’s global initiative to attract leading deep tech researchers and specialists from abroad including India. While many countries promote open positions, Finland offers something distinct - superpositions. In quantum physics, a superposition means something can exist in multiple states at once. In Finland, scientists and specialists can excel in high-impact research while enjoying a balanced lifestyle with time for family, personal passions, and wellbeing.

Finland is internationally recognized for its innovation excellence, sustainability, and outstanding quality of life. Finland, that ranks as the happiest country in the world for the eighth consecutive year, is also known for its clean environment, abundant green spaces, and cultural traditions that nurture wellbeing. The superpositions initiative encourages Indian professionals to explore opportunities in the ecosystem where research brilliance meets life balance.

“We want to make the Finnish deep tech innovation sector better known in India and encourage international experts to seize the opportunities it offers. Through the initiative, Finland reaffirms its commitment to attracting Indian talent. We are excited to strengthen our deepening collaboration with India - an important partner in innovation and research,” says Minister of Employment Matias Marttinen

“Indian specialists are very much valued in Finland said Laura Lindeman, Senior Director and Head of the Work in Finland Unit at Business Finland. “This initiative showcases Finland’s vibrant innovation ecosystem, where universities, startups, and global companies collaborate actively in key deep tech sectors. Together, we can accelerate breakthrough technologies and innovate new.” Finnish universities are pivotal, offering international researchers access to cutting-edge infrastructure, collaboration opportunities with industry leaders, and integration into global funding networks. These partnerships reflect growing Finland-India academic and industrial cooperation. For example, the University of Helsinki, Aalto University and Tampere university offer several career opportunities for researchers.

Himadri Majumdar, CEO and co-founder of quantum-hardware company SemiQon shares his journey: “Moving from India to Finland accelerated my career and broadened my professional choices from research to business. The research environment is world-class, with freedom to pursue bold ideas and direct collaboration, especially with industry. Equally important, Finnish way of life truly supports work-life harmony. It allowed me to thrive professionally while being there for my family whenever needed.

Finland’s status as the happiest country in the world is a reflection of the society which is committed to a meaningful and purpose-driven life, making Finland especially attractive for Indian experts aiming for true personal growth.”
