CitiusTech, a leading provider of healthcare technology, services & solutions, has announced its participation in the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) initiative, a voluntary leadership platform and the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative. This strategic move reinforces the company’s commitment to ethical business practices, global development goals, and purpose-driven innovation.
The 2025 SDG progress assessment reveals that the world remains far off track from achieving the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Of the 169 SDG targets, 139 could be evaluated against global trend data, with only 35% showing adequate progress. Nearly half of the targets reflect insufficient progress, while 18% have regressed below 2015 baseline levels. Against this backdrop, corporate participation in initiatives like the UNGC is critical to accelerating progress and closing the sustainability gap.
By integrating the 10 UNGC principles into its strategy, culture, and operations, CitiusTech is driving measurable impact through its CSR and employee well-being programs. These include mobile health units in underserved regions, STEM education for marginalized youth, afforestation drives, clean energy adoption, and inclusive hiring practices. This approach is reflective of a shift toward quantifiable sustainability outcomes, especially in sectors like IT and healthcare.
“At CitiusTech, we believe technology is a powerful force for equity, health, and sustainability. By aligning with global standards while remaining rooted in local needs, we can scale our impact meaningfully,” said Punam Shejale, CISO and Head of CSR & Sustainability, CitiusTech. “Joining the UN Global Compact initiative is a natural step for us. As a healthcare technology leader, our mission to catalyze healthier lives aligns closely with the UNSDGs, particularly those focused on health, innovation, equality, and climate action.”
CitiusTech has made sustainability a strategic pillar, embedding ESG across stakeholder engagement, client mandates, and regulatory preparedness. Its participation in the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) underscores its position as a responsible, future-ready partner for global healthcare and life sciences organizations. This alignment enhances the company’s ability to meet evolving disclosure requirements, while strengthening its competitiveness in RFPs and strategic partnerships where ESG compliance is essential. By joining the UNGC, CitiusTech also reinforces its global standing as a thought leader in responsible healthcare innovation, at a time when sustainability is becoming a key market differentiator and a driver to attract the right kind of talent.
Deeply rooted in its core values of Passion, Respect, Openness, Unity, and Depth of Knowledge, CitiusTech’s sustainability journey extends across communities, employees, and ecosystems. Its CSR initiatives support UNSDGs 3, 4, 7, 13, and 17 through healthcare access programs, STEM education for marginalized youth, clean energy adoption, climate action, and multi-stakeholder collaborations. At the same time, its employee care programs align with UNSDGs 3, 5, 8, and 10, with a strong focus on mental health, diversity and inclusion, equitable opportunities, and professional growth.
