Subsidy on IT Infra, Cloud Computing and GST Accounting Software for MSMEs: MSME Minister
The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in a review meeting reiterated that the MSMEs must utilize the various subsidies given to the sector for availing IT infrastructure and GST software package for transition into the newly implemented Goods and Services Tax (GST).
The Ministry also notified that the MSMEs may avail the benefits under the Digital MSME scheme available for the sector.
Under the Digital MSME scheme, the government is offering subsidy on establishing I.T infrastructure and also on obtaining cloud space required for the operation of various accounting software.
The Ministry in tweet said that under the scheme, the burden of investment on hardware, software and infrastructure will be aided by the government.
Also there is the provision of pay as per the usage, in order to ease the initial investment burden.
The Ministry is offering the ERP as well as accounting and designing software package that are required under the GST for the MSMEs.
