Flipkart Soon to Sell Grocery, Plans to tap 500 Million Consumers

Flipkart, India’s largest e-commerce marketplace, would offer ‘Grocery products on its e-commerce platform soon.

Grocery is already getting offered on pilot basis in Banguluru and in a phased manner , it would also implement on pilot basis in other cities like Hyderabad soon, Flipkart Marketplace Head, Anil Goteti said in a press conference organized as part of Flipkart’s 10 year celebrations here.

Currently, we have 30 fulfillment centres across the country including two in Hyderabad (Telangana) , he said that we are planning to open more fulfillment centres mainly at cities in the country.

The e-commerce major is expecting to target 500 Million Indian consumers through this offering.
