It is being believed that over six crore traders will receive benefit from such campaign. CAIT National President B C Bhartia and Secretary General Praveen Khandelwal today said that because large number of traders across country is unaware of core issues including compliance which has led to a situation of utter confusion and unnecessary panic, the GST Clinics will ease the situation.

“As the country moves towards implementation of uniform tax regime under GST, it is imperative that the trader community that forms the backbone of the economy is well versed with the changes. HDFC Bank is happy to support CAIT in their endeavour to create awareness and help over 6 crore traders make their transition smoothly to GST,” said Navin Puri, Country Head – Branch Banking, HDFC Bank Ltd.

Under this campaign, the traders will be informed about fundamentals of GST, designated role of technology for its compliance, requisite information about mandatory compliance obligations, linkage of digital payments with GST and changes required to make business compatible with its provisions.
