Wika India Opens New School Building In Kesnand Village

WIKA India, a global leader in measurement technology, proudly announced the inauguration of a newly constructed school building at Zilla Parishad Primary School in Kesnand village, Pune. This milestone marks the successful completion of a project that began with a groundbreaking ceremony in 2023, reaffirming WIKA’s long-standing commitment to community development and education.

The new school building, equipped with five modern classrooms, will provide a safe and conducive learning environment for over 200 underprivileged students. Previously, limited infrastructure forced classes to operate in two shifts; the new facility ensures uninterrupted education and better opportunities for children in the region.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Mr. Alexander Wiegand, Chairman and CEO of WIKA Group; Mr. Sascha Niederhagen, Executive Vice President EMEA/India and Member of the Managing Board at WIKA Group and Mr. Gaurav Bawa, Senior Vice President, WIKA India Group.

Mr. Sascha Niederhagen shared, “Education is the foundation of progress. By supporting Kesnand’s school, we are investing in the future of its children and contributing to the development of the community.”

Mr. Gaurav Bawa added, “Our journey in Kesnand began decades ago, and this community is an integral part of WIKA India’s story. This school is not just a building, it highlights our commitment to nurture talent and create opportunities for generations to come.”

In addition to this CSR milestone, WIKA India announced the acquisition of land near its Pune factory for further expansion, reinforcing its long-term commitment to India. This strategic move will enable WIKA to scale operations and introduce advanced technologies, creating more opportunities for local employment and skill development.
