TICCI-NSIC Conducts Seminar for Tribal Entrepreneurs in Odisha

TICCI is  affiliated to the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), organized the seminar in association with the National Small Industries Corporation and MSME Development Institute. The Small Industry Development Bank of India, Regional Industry Centre and the Rourkela Steel Plant also participated in this seminar.

TICCI-NSIC Conducts Seminar for Tribal Entrepreneurs in Odisha

To encourage members of the tribal communities about the opportunities available to tribal entrepreneurs, the freshly formed Tribal Commerce and Industry (TICCI) organized a seminar recently.

TICCI is  affiliated to the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), organized the seminar in association with the National Small Industries Corporation and MSME Development Institute. The Small Industry Development Bank of India, Regional Industry Centre and the Rourkela Steel Plant also participated in this seminar.

The objective of the seminar was to develop vendors among local tribal entrepreneurs in local and public sector units.

TICCI President Biraj Kullu, said "TICCI was formed in December after I drew inspiration from a similar body in Jharkhand.”

In order to give wider platform he took the initiate to start a platform with local small unit owners and discussed his intentions with FICCI members who fully supported him.

"We have 150 members, having started from Sundargarh. Soon, we will spread to other parts of the state," he said

National Small Industries Corporation branch manager Bipul Bag said such a body would help everyone, especially those wanting to take their business to the next level and they should learn more about the workings of big organization.

MSME Development Institute Assistant Director Sudhir Yadav encouraged the initiative and ensured support from his office for the aspiring entrepreneurs.
