Led Expo, India’s renowned fair for the LED lighting, components and technologies will return for its grand 19th edition from 6 December – 8 Dec at the India Exposition Mart Limited (IEML). Organised by Messe Frankfurt Trade Fairs India Pvt Ltd the show is regarded as one of the most influential events for the business of LED technology. The organisers have confirmed over 325 exhibitors from countries like India, China, Finland, Japan, Hong Kong, Italy, Korea, and Taiwan.

The show will display a gamut of solutions from various companies and among many exhibitors, some key players showcasing LED technologies include Juki India Pvt Ltd. Key Operations & Electrocomponents Pvt Ltd, Lumisense Optoelectronics Pvt Ltd, Rabyte Electronics, S R Electro, Semiconic Devices Pvt Ltd, Semitech Opto Solutions Pvt Ltd, Swingtel Communications Pvt Ltd, Citizen Group, Anycasting, LEDiL, Khatod Fulham India and Ltech (Intelligent Lighting Controls).

The 19th edition of LED Expo 2018 New Delhi is backed with strong support from government bodies and leading lighting and infrastructure associations. Shri Shrikant Sharma, Minister of Power, Uttar Pradesh shared: “It is a very happy occasion for me as this edition of LED Expo 2018 New Delhi will be held in Greater Noida. The Indian markets display a huge potential for the LED technologies that are constantly developing in the country and around the world. We hope this exhibition helps bring manufacturers, sellers, buyers and investors under one roof.”

LED lamps and luminaires demonstrates the strongest growth trend among all the lighting technologies. The revolution in India is witnessing tremendous growth due to a huge demand for smart cities and home automation systems that provides maximum customisation, energy efficiency, convenience and cost – effectiveness. The government in India is taking massive and effective steps to promote solar and LED lighting technologies which in the coming years, is expected to become a familiar term in every household.

“The manufacturing of LED products in the country increased from INR 2,172 Crore in 2014 – 15 to INR 9,630 Crore in 2017 – 18 showcasing more than 4 times rise in the total production,” explained Shri Ajay Sawhney, Secretary, Ministry of Electronic and Information Technology (Meity), Government of India.

Talking about the development in Noida, Shri Alok Tandon, IAS, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, New Okhla Industrial Development Authority (Noida) said, “The government is committed to promote solar power and LED lighting technologies with Noida itself making a headway for replacing all 74,000 traditional lights with smart LED street lights which are energy saving cost – efficient, environmental friendly which can help us save various other costs.”

The 19th edition will host an insightful summit focussing on ‘Creating Solutions for Future Smart Lighting’. The premier knowledge forum will bring together top industry leaders like Mr Sukanto Aich, CMO, Phillips Lighting India, Mr Swapnil Karne, Product and Sales Support Manager (India), Helvar, and Mr Biju John, Ex. VP, Fulham to name a few. The summit will include discussions, networking opportunities and sharing of business insights and best practices within the industry.

The trade fair is being supported by the Government of India Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology Government of India Ministry of Commerce & Industry; Minister of Health, Industries, PWD, Power, Home and Urban Development; Energy Efficiency Services Ltd (EESL); Rural Electrification Corporation Ltd (RECL); The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI); BSES Rajdhani Power Ltd; Electric Lamp and Component Manufacturers' Association of India (ELCOMA); Indian Building Congress (IBC) and Solar Energy Society of India (SESI).
