The Haryana Government is in the process of setting up 15 solid waste management clusters both in urban and rural areas for proper implementation of ambitious national Swachh Bharat Mission of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the State.
This was announced by the Urban Local Bodies Minister, Kavita Jain.
She said that the State Government envisages connecting people of the state directly with the Swachh Bharat Mission for achieving success of the Mission. The process of setting up of solid waste management plants has accelerated in Faridabad, Sonepat, Rohtak, Ambala, Karnal, Bhiwani, Rewari, Fatehabad, Panchkula, Yamunanagar, Hisar, Dabwali-Sirsa, Farrukhnagar, Punhana and Jind, said the Minister.

She further said that the agency had already been selected to set up plants to generate power from solid waste at Gurugram, Faridabad and Sonipat Clusters, while the setting up of other 12 clusters have been approved. All out efforts are being made to make cleanliness a habit, she added.
