Policybazaar for Business has launched AiSHA, an industry-first AI-powered Smart Face Scan and Health Assistant for its corporate customers that brings a new layer of preventive, real-time health insights into India’s corporate wellness and group insurance ecosystem. Using one-of-its-kind breakthrough technology, AiSHA enables employees to capture clinically relevant vitals through a simple 30-second smartphone scan making everyday health monitoring effortless and data-driven.
AiSHA uses remote photoplethysmography (rPPG), a contactless technology that maps micro-changes in facial blood flow through any smartphone camera. With one quick scan, employees can view vital markers such as heart rate, Heart rate variability (HRV), respiration rate, SpO₂, blood pressure, stress index, facial age, and emotional state, which turns turning early health awareness into an everyday habit rather than a once-a-year check-up.
What sets the platform apart is its ability to evolve. AiSHA will progressively be upgraded using deeper technologies to interpret an even wider spectrum of health indicators. The next phases will bring non-invasive reading of haemoglobin, vascular health and age, perfusion index, derma, dental & oral assessments. This is expected to evolve to the level of early detection of conditions like jaundice and cataract for a better prevention and lower claims from the diseases turning worse.
Sajja Praveen Chowdary, Head, Policybazaar for Business, said, “AiSHA marks a defining moment for corporate health in India. Earlier, Corporate health benefits were largely managed backwards by reacting to hospitalization after the ailments have occurred, along with basic offline wellness activities. We have been making efforts to move the system towards prevention with integrated OPD policies and wellness solutions through our insurer partners. With AiSHA, this shift towards prevention is expected to become far more pronounced. The goal is to give employees an always-on, data-backed view of their regular health, enabling early identification of when a doctor visit or treatment may be required. Early detection and timely intervention have consistently been shown to reduce the length of hospitalisation and, in some cases, even avoid hospitalisation altogether. This, in turn, is expected to help organisations manage claims more effectively.”
Alongside instant vitals, AiSHA offers personalised lifestyle guidance, stress and sleep insights, chronic-condition tracking, maternity and baby-care journeys, doctor consultations and lab integrations, creating a unified preventive-care ecosystem.
For insurers, AiSHA opens up a more precise understanding of workforce health at a time when rising claim ratios and shifting disease patterns challenge traditional underwriting. With continuous, consent-driven insights, as per their guidelines insurers can assess risk more accurately and support employers with targeted interventions that can curb avoidable hospitalisations.
The launch reinforces PBFB’s long-standing focus on reshaping how organisations, employees and insurers engage with health and moving the entire ecosystem toward smarter, data-led customer service.
