SICCI & 63 Moons Host Cybersecurity Conference in Chennai

SICCI (The Southern India Chamber of Commerce and Industry) in association with 63 Moons Technologies Ltd., a pioneer in developing next-generation technologies, hosted a conference on Cybersecurity ‘Challenges & Opportunities’ in Chennai on 4th April at The Park Hotel.

The conference witnessed participation from all stakeholders including; « Justice Dr. P Jyothimani, Former Judge, Madras High Court & Former Judicial Member, National Green Tribunal « Mr. Ampa Palaniappan, Vice President, SICCI, « Mr. M V Subramanian, Chair, SICCI Technology Committee « Mr. S. Rajendran, Managing Director & CEO, 63 Moons Technologies Limited « Mr. Neehar Pathare, Tech CEO, 63 SATS « SICCI Members & friends.

The main objective of the conference was to create awareness about the importance of Cybersecurity training and developments, this was followed by a few interesting panel discussions wherein they intensely brainstormed about the new, future cyber threats and how we need to keep ourselves equipped to handle those. Also, they highlighted about a few products introduced by 63 Moons like CYBXTM, 63 SATSTM and CYBERDOMETM. These would be a testament to their unwavering commitment to India by safeguarding every internet-connected device across India. The value of the Indian cybersecurity market is likely to hit Rs 1 Lakh Crore by 2029, amidst the estimated value of global cyber security market expected to reach Rs 42 Lakh Crore by 2030.

In this fast paced world, technology plays a vital role in everyone’s daily life. People connect with family, friends and many other services including healthcare, education, banking and other day-to-day transactions will be done by digital mode. India’s digital infrastructure continues to grow, on the other side cyber threats will also continue to pop up. Therefore, protecting the integrity and confidentiality of the information have become an enormous challenge. Despite all, majority of people use digital platforms to save time and energy.

«   How Cybersecurity touches the lives of almost everyone in India

«   The official cyber security agency of the US states that worldwide consumers lost $358 and 21 hours every year on an average dealing with online crime. It also states that over 6 Lakh facebook accounts are hacked every day and 1 in 3 homes are infected with malicious software

«   Various cyber-attacks faced in Tamil Nadu are comparatively less when compared to other states in India

«   Highlighted the devastating cyber incidents including Montenegro and Albania hit by attacks and how it was paralysed their economies and public life.

«   He also expressed that there should be a considerable amount of awareness in terms of Cybersecurity. Tamil Nadu already has a Cybersecurity Policy 2020 & an AI policy which needs to be revised and make it more relevant to today’s context.

Being an effective bridge between industry and government, SICCI would be happy to extend full support in this regard and make a conscious attempt to increase awareness among the mass about the importance of Cybersecurity on how to prevent and combat cyber threats through a comprehensive cybersecurity suite in the coming years…….
