Obama-Modi Singed Civil Nuclear Agreement

US President, Barak Obama arrived New Delhi and in few hours history created by a breakthrough announcement of Civil Nuclear Deal.

India and the US signed an in depth commercial cooperation agreement with a complete roadmap for full implementation of this landmark civil nuclear deal.

The announcement was made by US President Barack Obama and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, brightening the prospects of the deal that was inked during the Manmohan Singh regime in 2008 but never implemented.

“We are surging ahead towards a golden era. The civil nuclear agreement is evidence of a transformed relationship between India and the US. This agreement demonstrates a new level of trust between the both countries. It also created new economic opportunities and expanded our option for clean energy,” says Prime Minister Narendra Modi while addressing a joint press conference with Mr Obama in New Delhi.

Describing the agreement as a “breakthrough understanding”, President Obama informed the media, “We agreed on taking the civil nuclear cooperation towards next level. We are strongly committed for a complete and full implementation of this civil nuclear agreement. This agreement is an important step towards a positive ecosystem and better relations of the two nations. This also shows that we are working together and open for elevating our relationship to newer heights.”

Modi and Obama met at Hyderabad House, New Delhi met for the second time in last four months. President Obama, accompanied by his wife Michelle, is here to attend the 66th Republic Day parade as chief guest.
