Global cloud communications platform Infobip has published its third annual Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) report. Infobip continues to make significant progress across all its ESG initiatives while pursuing ambitious profitable growth. Over the last year, Infobip has advanced on its ESG journey in several areas.

  • Environment

As an addition to its energy efficient grade A+ campuses, Infobip has installed solar panels in its Vodnjan campus to generate more renewable energy and is planning similar upgrades to its Zagreb campus. The company also regularly measures its carbon footprint and is working on a roadmap towards lowering its emissions.

  • Social and DEI

The firm invested more than €570,000 in communities worldwide, nearly three times that of 2021. Infobip donated more than 150 laptops and other office equipment globally. The firm also launched its onsite volunteering program, BipUp Teams, enabling employees to create positive changes and make a significant impact in their local communities.

Infobip launched a global diversity, equity, and inclusion initiative to ensure its employees feel respected, included, and valued. As a result, the firm has a new DE&I Policy and has initiated global training on preventing harassment and discrimination and minimizing unconscious bias. Infobip has set a framework for further DE&I development in 2023.

  • Governance

In 2022, Infobip conducted a double-materiality assessment, examining the economic, environmental, and social issues that matter most to its business and stakeholders. Community engagement & investment, business ethics & compliance, and data protection & privacy emerged as the top three topics of interest to internal and external stakeholders.

Silvio Kutić, CEO at Infobip, said: “At Infobip, we believe that we have the responsibility to minimize our potential negative impact on the environment and to have a positive and meaningful impact on the communities in which we operate. Our clients and potential clients continue to ask us to share our practices and successes in ESG, pushing us to be even stronger and to have even more impact. In 2023 we will work to finalize the ESG strategy and set a roadmap with targets and goals we plan to achieve in the following years. Incorporating ESG principles in our everyday work and long-term business strategy might not always be easy, but it is a must.”

One of the key steps towards incorporating the ESG principles in everyday business includes joining the UN Global Compact network. The UN Global Compact is the world’s largest corporate citizenship initiative, with thousands of business participants and other stakeholders. It helps create a fairer and more inclusive society and a more sustainable and cleaner environment. Infobip’s focus lies in the areas of human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption.

The firm also continued to work towards meeting the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by making significant strides across several goals, including decent work and economic growth; industry, innovation, and infrastructure; responsible consumption and product; and climate action.
