BSNL to deploy 40,000 HotSpots by March 2018

The WiFi under this scheme will be provided in all states wherever this services is techno-commercially viable.

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), a leading Telecom company of India dealing in landline, broadband, mobile enterprise services, lease line, VSAT and WiFi, has got two services CAPEX based WiFi service and GSM BTSs at Hyderabad. The services were launched by Minister of State for Communications and Railways Manoj Sinha.

Under CAPEX based WiFi service, BSNL has started Network Operating Center (NOC) and Network Management System (NMS) at Bangalore. BSNL planned to deploy around 40,000 WiFi hotspots during current financial year (2017-18).

Yesterday, approximate 120 GSM BTSs at Hyderabad covering both rural and urban areas of Hyderabad SSA were dedicate to the nation by Hon’ble Minister. All 120 GSM BTSs will be able to provide 3G services to mobile users of BSNL.

A book titled “Healing the Future” was also unveiled by the Minister. This book is authored by Deepak Kashyap who is presently working as CVO in BSNL. The book promises betterment in personal and official life of the readers, who implement the contents of the book.

This book also speaks about betterment of the nation. K V Chowdary, CVC, delivered a key note address on this occasion on “Spirituality: The Foundation of Ethics and Good Governance”.
